Who provides our services
All coaching services are delivered by Cassie Knudsen, an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) registered with Dietitians Australia, with a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics, certifications in Intuitive Eating Counselling, and additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Informed Nutrition Counselling, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, body image, and FODMAP and IBS.
What we do (scope of practice)
We provide nutrition counselling and behaviour-change coaching for women in the diet-binge cycle, with a focus on intuitive eating, nervous system regulation, body image, and condition-specific evidence-based nutrition guidance.
What we do not do
Food Freedom Club is not:
- An eating disorder treatment service. If you have a current diagnosis of anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, ARFID, or are under medical supervision for any clinical eating disorder, we are not the appropriate provider. We may decline enrolment or refer you back to your treating team. The Butterfly Foundation (1800 33 4673, butterfly.org.au) is an Australian resource for eating disorder support.
- A medical service. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. We are not a substitute for your GP, specialist, or other healthcare team.
- A psychological therapy service. While we use ACT- and trauma-informed approaches as part of our coaching, we are not a registered psychologist. If you need clinical mental health support, please see a registered psychologist, counsellor, or psychiatrist.
- A crisis or emergency service. If you are in crisis, contact Lifeline (13 11 14) or attend your nearest emergency department.
Your responsibilities
By engaging our services, you confirm that:
- You are willing to disclose relevant health information so we can work safely with you
- You will inform us of any medications you are taking or medical conditions you have
- You will not stop, start, or change prescribed medications based on our coaching without consulting your prescribing doctor
- You understand that nutrition guidance is general in nature unless we have established a clinical relationship that involves reviewing your individual health information
- You will see your GP for any concerning physical symptoms
